Students in our Energy and Power Technology course designed and built 2’×2’×2’ trebuchets. The students demonstrated their trebuchets on Feb. 26 by hurling golf balls on the BSU football field.
The typical distance achieved was around 20 yards, however, one reached 33 yards, one reached 57 yards, and one reached 82 yards!
It was definitely a successful project for all our students and a fun time hurling golf balls at -30°F.
