Students in the School of Technology, Art, and Design are planning their fall trip to Denver, November 7–12.
Every fall the School of Technology, Art, and Design plans a trip to visit design agencies and trade shows around the country. Last year the students and several faculty members took a bus to Chicago, and this year they are heading to Denver, Colorado.
This year a convoy of BSU vans will make the long prairie crossing all the way to Denver, with a few stops in between. They plan on a first stop in Jamestown, ND for breakfast. The first night will be spent in historic Deadwood, South Dakota. With many attractions along the way, Mount Rushmore is a must see. After that they are on to Denver where they will be attending a trade show called the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, which is the biggest annual gathering of outdoor enthusiasts from around the country. These events are great learning opportunities for the students because for some, their future careers will be focused around it. Also, we’re going to see a lot of sick camping gear there!

Thanks to Hill & Partners, an exhibit design company out of Boston and Las Vegas, a long time supporter of BSU designers, and student fundraising, this trip will be more affordable for the TAD students. The estimated cost right now is about $200 per student.
