The School of Technology, Art and Design and the Department of Integrated Media hosted 102 high school students at the first-ever Media, Art and Design Day (MAD Day). Area art and media teachers were provided a specific number of MAD Day VIP Passes, and were asked to invite their most creative and artistic students. Those selected had the opportunity to participate in three of thirteen workshops including: TV Studio, Behind the Scenes, Virtual Reality Experience, Create a Mad Day T-shirt, Imaginative Printing, Logo-Casting, Larger Than Life Printing, and Be part of a Radio Show. The event provided the students with exposure into the many aspects of art, multi-media, graphic design, and technology. Students were also presented career opportunities in many creative areas including Exhibit Design, Graphic Design, Studio Arts, and Integrated Media.
